Dear Ohlone families,

I hope everyone is now settled into a smooth routine that includes arriving at school on-time, carpooling and/or walking or biking to school, keeping up with school work and of course, getting players to all of those fall soccer games and practices. It’s hard to believe, and even harder to remember, that just a few weeks ago we were living much more leisurely lives that included different sleep patterns, more time for reading and other activities, and time by the pool. Yes, fall is a very busy time.

Dear Ohlone Families,

It's hard to believe, but it's that time of year when at least some of the teachers' attention turns to next year:  it's placement time. This is a period of weeks when teachers gather together to look at next year's entire class, e.g., at 180 4th and 5thgraders, and try to create classes that are balanced while meeting the needs of individual students. This is a monumental challenge that takes an abundance of time, energy, thought, and emotion.
